Travel & Events Coordinator

Overview

The travel & events coordinator role is pivotal to the smooth running of travel booking for Directors and any colleagues who need assistance with travel nationally and internationally.

In order to ensure that colleagues are aware of who is traveling where at any one time, it will involve keeping a schedule as well as providing travellers with all the documentation and information they need for a smooth business travel.  Also, the travel coordinator has ownership of organising company events such as quarterly business reviews and charity events.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Book travel and accommodation for colleagues
  • Arrange suitable transport overseas
  • Check and apply for visas and adhere to country rules and regulations
  • Prepare travel itineraries
  • Liaise with other departments to organise and distribute travel schedules
  • Organise events such as quarterly business reviews – including liaising with the event sponsor regarding attendees, agenda and timings, room bookings (onsite or offsite)
  • Ad hoc projects such as company charity events

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience having organised UK based and international travel
  • Working to a high degree of accuracy and quickly
  • A positive working attitude and drive to succeed
  • Computer literate (Email, Web, Microsoft Excel/Word in particular)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, punctual and presentable
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative
  • Solutions oriented with good problem-solving skills
  • A professional, results driven, approach with great attention to detail
  • A proactive, self-motivated team player
  • A hands on, flexible, approach to work with the ability to work to strict deadlines
