Careers at Parkingeye

The hard work and results we bring our clients wouldn’t be possible without the people behind them. We have approximately 400 employees across the country, and we continue to grow year on year.

The parking industry is more varied than most people expect. It draws on disciplines from engineering and data to account management, legal, and operations.

Life at Parkingeye

Our values

Our company values set the tone for how we operate. They underpin our recognition programme, performance appraisals, and recruitment, and they define the behaviours we expect from one another.

That does not mean we expect everyone to think the same. We value diversity and different ways of thinking. Continuous improvement comes from challenging the status quo and asking how we can do things better.

Your first day

When you join Parkingeye, your equipment is ready from day one, sometimes before. Here is what to expect:

  1. HR and IT set you up from hour zero. Your equipment is ready, your accounts are live, and the two teams work closely together to make sure nothing is missing before you arrive.
  2. Your manager meets you on day one. They will introduce you to key colleagues and the rest of your team so you know who does what from the start.
  3. HR covers the essentials. You will hear about when you get paid, what benefits are available, and how our recognition programmes work.
  4. Health and Safety is covered in full. Our Health and Safety Manager makes sure you know everything relevant to your role, whether you are office-based or working on site.
  5. Data privacy explained in plain English. Our Data Privacy Officer walks you through what you need to know, given the nature of the information we handle.

Two Employee Assistance Programmes are available to all staff, offering free counselling, both planned and in the moment. We have Mental Health First Aiders and Health and Wellbeing Champions in place across the business. Where the role practically allows, we are always open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Working at Parkingeye

There’s plenty of reasons to work here, we help our teams thrive through several different schemes and initiatives.

Reward and Celebration

We run STARS, our peer-to-peer recognition programme (Special Thanks And Recognition Scheme), where colleagues nominate anyone they feel has demonstrated our values. Each month, several nominees win a free day of leave. We also run Thank You Thursday, where colleagues are encouraged to call or message each other directly to say thanks.

Staying Connected

A monthly newsletter goes to everyone in the business, keeping colleagues up to date with company news, team news, and features designed to raise a smile. We also use Teams to share messages of praise and keep the wider team connected day to day.

Training and Development

Training is continuous and delivered through a blend of on-the-job learning, face-to-face sessions, online platforms, and coaching. Parkingeye Essentials is an internal programme where different departments share what they do with the wider business. All colleagues are enrolled as members of the British Parking Association, giving 24/7 access to thousands of online training courses. Health and safety training is mandatory for everyone, with thorough field training for all site-based roles.

Career Progression

Internal progression is common across the business. Colleagues in Enforcement have moved into Legal. Many in Business Operations have progressed into Quality Assurance or Account Management. Apprenticeship placements are available through the government scheme, currently including management and legal qualifications. We run performance check-ins, and you can speak to your manager at any time about your goals.
