Client Relationship Manager

Overview

The Account Management Team are now looking for a Client Relationship Manager to join them. Reporting to the Account Director, the role of the Client Relationship Manager is critical to the on-going success and future growth of Parkingeye. We’re specifically looking for someone with extensive NHS experience to help us find new NHS Trusts as well as growing our existing NHS customers. You’ll also take the lead in the tender process and with support from our Bid Manager, you’ll demonstrate why we are the best in the industry.

As the key interface with our customers, both new and existing, you will set high standards which originate from you personally and these will form the basis of how our customers expect to be dealt with throughout their time with Parkingeye. To do this effectively, you will need to liaise with other teams and senior stake holders to ensure any challenges are resolved quickly and efficiently without the need for customer involvement.

Day to day, your responsibilities will be wide and varied. You’ll go from prospecting for new customers, completing tenders, supporting onboarding of new clients and looking for ways to grow our existing client base. You’ll be supported in this by colleagues across the business and everyone is aligned to ensuring we do the best job possible for our customers. You’ll have demonstrable work experience in a client-facing role with the aptitude and desire to learn new technical concepts and technologies.

 

Key duties & responsibilities

  • Prospecting for new NHS Trust clients
  • Lead on NHS sector bids in collaboration with the Bid Manager and the Key Account Managers
  • Look for opportunities for client referrals & convert them into clients
  • Compile commercial proposals
  • Complete the contract process from drafting through to signature
  • Attend new business meetings and present solutions to new clients
  • Contribute to the solution/service/cost structure
  • Play an integral role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients
  • Plan and project manage the implementation of new, large customers with the assistance of an Account Manager/Account Executive
  • Focus on the organic growth of your client portfolio
  • Maintain a pipeline of current and potential clients to provide information relating to targets and projections for potential growth of a client
  • Attend site visits when required
  • Be the key interface between the client and all relevant internal departments
  • Delegate work to an Account Manager/Executive who will assist in the day to day management of large accounts
  • Communicate with clients and colleagues effectively and professionally
  • Attend client implementation/initiate and lead quarterly account reviews with clients to ensure client satisfaction
  • Ongoing operational analysis of client sites to ensure profitability at all times
  • Production of management information/reports as and when required internally and externally
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell

 

Formal qualifications & experience required:

  • Proven experience with NHS
  • 3+ years experience of leading and compiling NHS sector bids/tenders with a good understanding of the NHS procurement process
  • Experience of selling to and managing key accounts
  • The ability to demonstrate how to grow revenues using account management principles
  • Worked in a complex project environment
  • Previous accountability for making commercial decisions
  • Intermediate/advanced MS Office skills
  • Demonstrate leadership of tasks and projects in previous working history
  • Ability to find and pursue new leads and sign potential clients
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills
  • Strong I.T. and written English language skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Confidence in dealing with all levels of personnel both externally and internally
  • Aptitude to work both independently and as part of a team with an element of team leadership
  • Willingness to assume responsibilities and take ownership of tasks
  • Capacity to work under pressure as customer requests can often occur in an unpredictable manner
  • Travelling and overnight stays will be required as part of the role
