Company Values

Our company values are very important to us as they set the tone for how we operate.

Designed to help us constantly think about the behaviours that are expected from colleagues to help us all succeed, our values underpin our people programmes such as our recognition programme, performance appraisals, and recruitment.

We expect certain behaviours from our colleagues, but that doesn’t mean we expect everyone to think the same, quite the contrary.  We value diversity and different ways of thinking.  Continuous improvement is fuelled by constantly challenging the status quo and questioning – how can we do this better?

The values that underpin our work are…

What can I expect on my first day?

When you start at Parkingeye, we make sure you have all your equipment on the first day or sometimes you may even receive it before. Our HR and IT teams work closely together to make sure you have a good experience from day 1.

Your manager will meet with you and introduce you to key colleagues and other members of your team.

Health and Safety is our first priority. Everyone receives an introduction from the HR team, who make sure you are aware of the essentials, such as when you will be paid, what benefits there are to choose from and what programmes there are for recognition. The Health & Safety Manager will make sure you are aware of everything you need to know, whether you are working as an installations engineer, attendant or support staff.

Data protection is also very important to us because of the nature of the information we deal with.  So, our Data Privacy Officer gives you a run-through of what you need to know in simple English.

Your Wellbeing

Over the last couple of years, we have all come to realise that wellbeing must be at the heart of how we look after our employees.   We have a wellbeing group, where volunteers from around the business come together to discuss any issues and come up with solutions to improve the employee experience.

Together we have designed a wellbeing charter that considers key areas of wellbeing such as fostering a sense of community, developing yourself and feeling good about giving. We have 2 Employee Assistance Programmes available to support employees who might be feeling like they need professional support with a variety of issues. These programmes offer free ‘in the moment’ or planned counselling.

We understand that you have full lives. Where the job practically allows, we are always willing to discuss different ways of working.

What can Parkingeye offer you?

On top of the benefits of working at Parkingeye, there’s a whole host of rewarding mental & physical perks to life at Parkingeye, from recognition all the way to training and development – read more below:

Reward and Celebration

Employees enjoy a peer-to-peer recognition programme called STARS or the ‘Special Thanks And Recognition Scheme’. This is where we encourage everyone to nominate any colleagues who they believe demonstrate the company values in some way. Each month several of the nominated employees win a free day of leave. We also encourage colleagues to call each other on Thank You Thursday and thank them for supporting them or helping them in some way. We also use Teams chat to send each other messages of praise and stay connected.

Staying Connected

We have a monthly newsletter that goes out to all colleagues in the business keeping everyone up to date with company news, providing insight into the wider team as well as some fun features to raise a smile.

Training and Development

Colleagues receive training via a blend of on the job, face to face, online training, and coaching. The training is continuous to keep you up to date with your skills. Parkingeye Essentials is a programme of classes where different departments of the business share interesting information about what they do. We have several training platforms available to colleagues, each of them serving a different purpose. We pay for all colleagues to be members of the British Parking Association (BPA), who provide a training platform that contains thousands of online training courses which is available to colleagues 24/7. Health and Safety is paramount for everyone in the business. All our employees take part in essential training and the field-based employees undergo thorough training to ensure everyone is competent and can keep themselves, their colleagues, and members of the public safe when working on site.

Career Progression

There is the opportunity for apprenticeship placements through the government apprenticeship scheme in which we currently have employees enrolled and working towards management and legal qualifications. We run a bi-annual performance check-in, but you can talk to your manager at any time regarding your goals for progression. We offer numerous internal opportunities with many colleagues progressing through different areas of the business. Several colleagues in our Enforcement Department have progressed to our Legal team. Many of our colleagues in the Business Operations area of our business (Administration and Appeals) have progressed to Quality Assurance or the Account Management area of the business. There are often opportunities for progressing to team coordinator, team leader or team manager if that is your desired career path.
